BlocThe daily plan you actually keep.

Why this site exists

BLOC started from a very concrete problem: I kept making plans I didn't follow. Not for lack of motivation — days broke on interruptions, and above all on time estimates that were systematically too optimistic. I looked for tools. They were either too heavy, or pretty but imprecise, or built for teams rather than for one person.

So I built the sheet I needed, starting from three serious sources rather than generic productivity advice: Kahneman and Tversky on the planning fallacy, Cal Newport's time-block method, and Peter Gollwitzer's research on implementation intentions. What you find here is the practical translation of those three ideas onto a single page.

What makes this tool different

Two things, and both come straight from my own failure to keep a plan.

The first is the actual-time column, sitting next to the planned one. Most planners let you write your intentions and never confront you with what really happened. Without that confrontation, you repeat the same estimation error indefinitely.

The second is the floor day: a minimum version of your day, decided in advance, that counts as a win. It exists because the reason people abandon a system is almost never overload — it is discouragement after two or three bad days.

Who writes here

This site is published by Irfan ISA, a master's student in economics and entrepreneurship, based in France. I am not a productivity coach and I do not sell a course. I use this tool every day for my own work, and I fix it as I discover what doesn't hold.

Articles here are written by hand, from sources I cite. When I give a figure or a study, you can check it.

Write, correct, suggest

If you spot an error, if a translation sounds wrong, or if the tool is missing something specific, write to me. Feedback from real users is the only thing that moves a project like this forward.
